This is a good opportunity for consumers seeking amicable on-the-spot settlement of power theft cases and disconnected connections. In case of a default, the company will be obliged to initiate criminal/ civil proceedings against the consumers under the relevant provisions of Electricity Act, 2003 and DERC Regulations.
